And while some reports have indicated that Kojima’s upcoming project will be linked to Xbox, a new image shared by the creator suggests that this may not be the case.
In a recent social media post, Hideo Kojima himself shared a photo of what appeared to be a workplace at Kojima Productions. On its own, the picture didn’t mean much, but some fans did note that in the corner of the picture, a PS5 kit can be seen plugged into a TV. While it’s not shocking that Kojima Productions has access to the PS5 kit, the fact that one is near Kojima’s seat in the picture has some fans concluding that the studio’s next game could be coming to the PlayStation platform.

As mentioned, the biggest reason why this was ever so important was that a number of people were assuming that Kojima would end up working with Xbox in some capacity soon. Although this possibility is still in play, the fact that the PS5 kit is being actively used at Kojima Productions may leave a hole in that theory.
Again, though, it’s worth noting that Kojima simply having a PS5 kit doesn’t mean much. Kojima Productions has already released a game for PS5 with Death Stranding exit cut, so it’s not uncommon to see a development kit around the office. However, the fact that it appears to be actively attached to the screen is what makes all of this more interesting.
